The maritime variety of colors, shapes and the complexity of nature by the sea - its strength, delicacy, its rhythms, its phenomena ... - is an important source of inspiration for my maritime paintings. Here is an abstract painting in extreme format, the center of which seems to be reflected on an indicated coastline. The high-contrast center is made in orange, red, magenta, pink, yellow, white, purple and brown colors against a background in blue and turquoise colors. The work carries a tension that exists between the center, which is kept in warm colors, and the background in cool shades of blue.
